Our story
Main Street Gifts, located at 364 Main Street, may be the new kid on the block, but this kid is here to make your shopping a pleasure.
Owners Dan and Suzanne Young know a thing or two about Highlands, and their love of the area is apparent. Dan’s family owns Wit’s End, a Highlands fixture opened by his grandmother in 1940. Her presence lead to summers spent getting to know Highlands and exploring this beautiful region. In 2016, Dan and Suzanne decided to make Highlands their full-time home when they purchased The Kitchen Carryaway and Catering, which they still own and operate today.
When this Main Street space became available, the couple quickly moved to make their dream of owning a gift shop a reality.
Selected with care
At Main Street Gifts, we select each product with great care and consideration, ensuring that every item brings something meaningful to our shelves. We believe that the products we offer should not only delight our customers but also reflect values that make a difference—whether through supporting local artisans, promoting eco-friendly practices, or offering unique and high-quality items that can’t be found elsewhere. Each item in our store is thoughtfully chosen to create a special experience, allowing our customers to find gifts that resonate with thoughtfulness and purpose.
“This is such an adorable unique store! Dan, the owner, was extremely helpful in helping us find the perfect gifts. All of the products we looked at and purchased were made in the USA!!! This will be a store we frequent every time we’re in Highlands!”
